The stay

Munsiyari sits as if the journey was the point. Clouds move in and take the Panchachuli range away. Then they give it back.

The house is in town, a short walk from the bazaar, with a table that faces the window and a door you can close. That is what makes a longer stay possible — not the view alone.

A few nights are enough if you only want the range. Two or three weeks are better if you have work to do, and the weather to sit with.

The town is small. The days can still be full.

Bazaar walks
The bazaar is a short walk from the house. Tea, a few shops, then back when the weather or the work says so.
Short ridge walks
Paths above town that fit into part of a day. Turn back when the cloud comes down.

Birthi Falls (when the road allows)
On the road toward Munsiyari, when the road is open. A stop on the way in or out, not the reason for the stay.
