Homestay in Vashist
Vashist - Manali, Himachal
The stay
The homestay is located on a quiet mountainside in Vashisht, surrounded by greenery and apple orchards. You’ll find plenty of birds and butterflies around, along with the sounds of the Beas River and trees swaying in the breeze. The snow-covered Himalayan peaks are visible right from your bed. When you look out at Manali nestled below, smile to yourself - ah, this is exactly where you wanted to be, in your own peaceful corner, away from the bustle.
You could spend a morning on the balcony with a cup of tea and a book, or simply sit back and appreciate the Pure Himalayan nature. It’s a chance to experience local mountain life, enjoy home-cooked food and spend time in nature without giving up everyday comforts.

Food
Food here is home-cooked, with many of the vegetables coming straight from the family’s own farm. You can have your meals served in your room, or sit with the family in their kitchen, sharing a meal and a conversation. You will get fresh cow's milk from the barn.
If you prefer to cook for yourself, you can do that too, with all the necessary kitchen essentials made available. Grocery can be delivered on request.
If you’d like to explore cafés and restaurants, you’ll need to walk downhill to the main road, where you’ll find plenty of options. It’s best to plan a restaurant visit along with an outing or activity that takes you down that way anyway.

Walks & stepsThe homestay is on a hillside, with around 300 steps from the road. Dont worry about luggage, porters will be arranged.
The climb can be tiresome but if you take good 2-3 breaks, sit and enjoy the streams, the dense forestation, the cold soothing wind, this becomes a freshing activity in itself. -
